The most efficient method of sheep exit from the shearing board is via an internal down chute.
With the addition of under floor races sheep can be quickly moved to yards or count out pens.
For sheds with limited height under the floor, side letout chutes provide an alternate solution.
To help shearers move sheep into the chute, the front edge of the chute slide is inset into the shearing floor at least 100mm.
The standard Sheep Entry Ramp is of hardwood construction on steel posts with a 3:1 rise. The sides are fully steel lined while the floor consists of hardwood slats with regular anti-slip risers. The ramps come as straight runs in 1.5, 1.8 and 2.4m widths, but custom sizes can be supplied. Where space or yards are an issue, ramps that run parallel to the shed, with landings, can also be supplied. Optional swing or sliding gates that regulate the flow of sheep into the shed, can be added to the top or bottom of the ramp.
